Hey there I’m pretty new to the site. So I am interested in getting either catless/or catted downpipes for my E550. My car is already RENNtech tuned and has an AMG exhaust, and I was wondering if the installation of the downpipes would throw a light and if the car would need to be reflashed after installation.
I have been looking at the MBH downpipe setup, but am open to any other good recommendations. Bottom line is this is a daily driver and cannot throw any lights because of inspection. Any help would be great, thanks again!
Yes the downpipes will throw a code for oxygen sensors , you will have to contact renntech to have a re-flash In order to remove the light from the dash . But that will not mean you can pass inspection as those monitors will never get ready .
we have 02 sensor extenders aswell which moves the 02 sensor out of the direct flow of the exhaust and should disable CEL It can also be done in the tune as mentioned above
