Always makes you wonder what else they didn't do correctly and what detrimental effect that will have later on, I hate this kind of stuff. Stay strong and apparently dilligent!
Haven’t been around too much lately as we’ve been busy renovating a rental property. But in our little bits of down time we did manage to get the car ceramic coated again. We were painting outside this evening and I took the photo in the evening light.
We are still battling the insurance company for diminished value (both us and them have hired appraisers).

Never ceases to amaze me how they will spend 5k to save 500. They clearly can't argue there was diminished value, question is, just how much.

Yeah they offered $1,250 in diminished value up front.
My appraiser came back with $6800, but reduced by $1800 because the car was bumped from behind when it was new and the rear bumper had to be repainted. The carfax reports this and shows "very minor damage less than $500" but every little thing counts. So we demanded $5,000. I don't believe we'll get to that amount but $1,250 was a joke.

When it's trade-in time,the first thing out of the salespersons mouth will be. "there are two accidents on the carfax" just for having to listen to that blather is a 2-3 grand cost, LOL. Keep at it, remember time is your friend, they need to close these things out quickly and when they get over 30 days, it is in their interest to tie up the loose ends and close out the claim.
