RENNtech ECU Upgrade | E 400 | W212

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum and this group. hopefully I'm in the correct place
I have a 2015 Mercedes Benz E400 (3.0 V6 Bi-Turbo) and am looking at this product from RENNtech.

It is an ECU upgrade which claims the following:
RENNtech ECU Upgrade for 212 - E 400 BiTurbo 4-MATIC. Up to 392HP and 432TQ.
Gains: +63HP & +78TQ

https://www.renntechmercedes.com/ind...e400-bt-detail

Anyone purchase this and have it on their vehicle or know anything about it? It is $2240.

Thx!

-Frank

Renntech makes some great stuff. I would commit war crimes if it meant I could have the R1 package for my e550. This is pretty much the cream of the crop for a tune but that makes it extremely expensive. Consider Eurocharged or OETuning as the price is significantly cheaper and the tune is relatively the same. I just bought OETuning’s tune for the m273 as they had a sale for mbworld members and I’m eagerly awaiting to getting it

I have the same car as you Alan, - 2011 E550 4m with the OE Tune - Love it Wont ever undo the tune. the car should of come this way from the factory!

They also gave me great support just for questions i had Pre tune so I was very comfortable with them.

Good luck on your choice. Frank.

Hows the transmission response time after the tune? I found it lacking when I would floor it a regular driving speeds. Does this fix it?

I have the burger motorsports JB4 on mine and really like it. Cheaper, has multiple maps, and you can modify it with your phone. You can read up on it here : https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28003

Alan - I assume you are asking me on my OE tune?
The shifting\throttle response is so much better - I used to ALWAYS as habit hit the S button as part of starting up the car.
Now - I can leave it in E mode for 70% of the time - but flick it over to S mode when "I'm in the mood" or ready to not let someone cut me off...
I'm sure there is always room for improvement - but the sale they have with the tuner is a hands down no brainer and with their support...double so.

Cheers and happy holidays!
