2014 E 350 windows won’t go down

I’m having a weird issue. My windows won’t go down from my driver seat or rear passenger seat. The only window that will go down is the front passenger seat.

I cannot adjust the side view mirrors, the window child lock does not light up and the buttons to choose which mirror you want to adjust do not light up.

The easiest would be checking the fuses... usually not an issue. Next step I would scan for codes.

If you cannot or have someone else do it, then consider investing in scanner for MB specific codes which can be had for <$200 (iCarsoft). It’ll help with future maintenance and repairs. Nowadays almost or more important than hard tools.

Should be sticky requiring them with posts

I've had this exact issue. I charged the main battery, then disconnected both batteries for a few minutes. Upon reconnection everything worked. My battery was 6 years old and I just replaced it the other day to avoid more electrical gremlins. As an additional "benefit" the eco mode started working again.

I posted my results here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...es-c21500.html

I would also do the battery disconnect for 20 minutes or so, the fact that the passenger window works tells me not likely a fuse, but you should definitely check that if the battery disconnect doesn't work, did you spill anything on the drivers doors switch or did it get wet from rain or snow? the switch would be the third thing I'd check, BMW is right, would be a good idea to get an Icarsoft MB2 code reader, it will do OBD scans on anything but comes with the software necessary to diagnose almost all Benz problems.
Let us know if the battery disconnect works!

From your post:
  • Scanning with the iCarsoft MBII gave me a current error code C21500 "Communication with the switch group of control module "door" has a malfunction.
Interesting, seemingly another CAN issue that was resolved thru a combination of battery charge/health and disconnect/reset.
