Thank you I think after research maybe I will chose MB to replace my old SUV. I am looking between GLK350 or ML350/GLE350. But if I want 4wd then ML350/GLE350 is way better because it had separate transfer case and front driveshaft and front differential bigger and stronger. Maintenance of transfer case look simple many youtube post of how to do it. The price of used car MB or Honda or Toyota will be relatively same and MB look way better than Honda/Toyota. I think Honda/Toyota need better car designer or all already hired by MB/BMW. But Honda/Toyota/Lexus/Acura for certain model had higher MPG.

The GLE350 should be fine. I just would not buy any modern Benz diesel if you're searching for reliability.

the GLK is what is now called the GLC, just as the ML became the GLE and the GL became the GLS

FWIW, we test drove a GLE350 and were decidedly unimpressed with how it rode and drove. But then, we didn't like *any* of the crossover SUVs we tried, except the Mazda CX-5 (!), and the Mazda got shot down because the front seats were too narrow, cutting off the circulation in my wife's legs after 15 minutes. ok, a BMW X3 was fun to take for a spin around the dealership, but I'd never want to own one. Drove several late model Lexus RX350's and was really disappointed, on paper I/we thought it would be the perrfect choice to replace our old W124 wagon.

But the problem mine is 722.960. So I didn't know it will fit with my 2013 E350 4matic. Look like it common problem and they only sell that part so I can assume that the problem in my car. The shop still not doing anything with my car yet.

Best to ask them if that fits for 722.960. I don't understand differences of 960 to 969 W7 X 700 family. These all have transfer case as per EPC.
The X meant 4-matic. W7 is 7 speed. 700 is the maximum newton, torque. That is all I know.
While you are hunting the parts, you best look at page 33 to 36 of the attached file on 7G Plus, where you will need to buy the bearings and the seals, because those L3 and L4 bearings are a must change if output shaft has problem.

Thank you. I bought bearing and seal kit from FCP Euro and I also bought long bolt 000000-008248 from MB directly. From transfer case part number mine is same as the one used by 2013 C300 4matic which had transmission based on lastvin for 2013 "Transmission 722960 04 175481" and 2013 E350 4matic "Transmission 722960 04 251993". The strange thing MB had part number for transfer case A2212710248 but they don't sell it although they had WIS for repair transfer case only. Another interesting is the Front Diff cost around US$3000 and Rear Diff cost around US$1500. So for used car it is wise to avoid 4matic because of extra parts transfer case and front diff which is pretty expensive and problematic if you keep the car above 150k miles.

FWIW my one indy charged me $600 for a used (60k miles) front diff.

I think I need advice here because the shop called me and tell me he prefer to swap the whole transmission with 34 K miles used transmission US $900 and he swap the TCM. He ask me $1600 for labor.
My transmission is 170K miles. The used parts had one year warranty. But because it used part he didn't warranty his work. Please advice me is that good option and should I ask him the warranty in case something wrong he fix it if not because problem with used part. I can keep my transmission so maybe I can sell transmission part or transfer case if later I fixed it.

If it was MY car, I'd be getting a rebuilt transmission from the likes of Sun Valley, or Peter Schmid, or a similar quality european transmission rebuilding specialist, but that would be several $1000 more. labor is the same to swap a used or a rebuilt. with the rebuild, you ship your old tranny back to the vendor for the core charge. Those vendors do nothing other than rebuilding European transmissions (Sun Valley does only Mercedes, Peter Schmid also does BMW, I think).

Part only. Labor was another $1400 which I wrote off $700 in my mind because they also replaced the motor mounts at the same time.

Two days ago I take my E350 home and I got charge $150 even shop didn't do anything. In fact the shop drive my car with flat rear tire to the front to get tow and I know it would ruin the tire. At home I can not pump rear tire because there is nail and with driving with flat tire cause nail to rip the tire to be unrepairable. So the shop cost me $150 and ruin one of my rear tire.
Because I want to swap transmission so why not open transfer case if not too bad I just get used trans including transfer case. So I can just fix transfer case by using the used trans part and I have spare trans that I can use maybe in future.
I found out the problem while raise four wheel in air and put in neutral and rotate the rear drive shaft and front drive shaft make sound "klunk klunk". Then I shake the front drive shaft it moved vertically and make that sound. So I think what happen when front drive shaft broke at 120k miles in u-joint close to front differential which also broke catalytic converter and oxygen sensor cost me $2500. But I think the European shop didn't grease properly the u-joint in boot seal close to transfer case so 2 year after that after 55 K miles dry u joint close to exhaust broke because maybe no grease at all. That the problem bringing to shop if they didn't do properly now it cost me $8k if I have to replace trans from MB. So even after paying $2500 in first incident now cost me a lot because the job didn't done properly. So better do our self cheaper and we can make sure it done properly. Every time I bring the car to shop for any service I always wonder if the shop really did the job. Let say we bring for transmission oil service, we will never know if the shop really replace the oil then so many thousand mile suddenly our transmission broke and cost us $8K. So I think for something we can do better we did ourself especially for ridiculously $500 oil change service.
