A/C chrome trim...
Anyone know where I buy this missing left A/C bottom online for a 2016 W212?
I know I'll probably have to buy the whole set, but I don't want to go to the dealer for something so minor.
And YES - I know it's dirty. Stay focused (LOL)
Thanks in advance!

I’ve seen these posts before with no outcome. Maybe you have a friend with a 3D printer.

looks like the assembly is A2129006727 and its the whole HVAC control unit, plus display and buttons above the display (auto, defrost, zone, ...., a/c, off), as well as the tabs below like the one missing the trim on yours., and the parts catalog says 'must be updated with current flashware' (something afaik only a dealer can do)... that PN is specific to 2015-2016 E's
i see them on fleabay used for like $150

oh that number is specific to US models, with code 494, and any of codes (805, 806, 807).
if you post your VIN, I can look it up to see if yours is the same.

2016 got a different control unit. i note that alibabaexpress trim kit is for -2015, so it might not fit the updated panel

W213 started in MODEL YEAR 2017 (production of MY 2017 starts mid year 2016) in the USA. MY 2016 was the last year W212. The MY 2016 W212 got a new stereo and different HVAC control panel.
I was taking a picture of the stereo but you can see the top half of the HVAC panel too, on my MY 2016 212.288 (E350 4Matic Wagon), which happens to have a build date of 2016-03-11

I could be wrong here, but I thought the '10-'15 had four large buttons and the "16 had three large buttons and two small one for a total of five, doesn't really matter I guess as Ali Express seems to have both.

Indeed. Maybe folks get confused because the ROW got the W213 for 2016? But that's how it worked the last generation as well. The W212 was new for 2009 in the ROW and I owned a 2009 W211 here in the states. As usual, the last model year has a number of changes/updates that the others did not have.

That's cool ,nice to see you could buy it separately given the size of the trim part
