Are motor (engine) mounts oil filled?
I'm tracking down an oil leak in the area of the left outer cv joint but see oil on the under-side of the motor mount. I don't know if it's the cv joint slinging oil/grease onto the mount or if the motor mount has oil in it...looks more like a thick oil than grease.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, the mounts are hydraulic.

I could never confirm that and I took few of them apart.
Even when you have fluid in MM, there is only an ounce, or 2 of it, Not enough to show as a running leak.

W212 motor mounts have fluid in them, I've taken them apart: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ml#post8249897
Not a lot, a few ounces, and the fluid is very thin. I'd would inspect the CV boot closely for tears.
