A quick look at rockauto.com shows different part numbers for the E550 and E350. Also different numbers for 4matic and a base model which I assume would be the RWD ones.

a 5.5L V8 is going to have bigger exhaust pipes, and a bigger cat, than a 3.5L V6, that should be obvious.

I would see if MagnaFlow makes a catalytic converter for your car. If you are in California, Colorado, New York, or Maine, do be sure to get the CARB approved model, I know MagnaFlow sells these for many other models.
