Dynamic Seat Bolster Leak
The left hand bolster leaks when using the system. It puffs up to say 80% when cornering and immediately deflates.
The right side puffs up and holds for a while before deflating.
I like the sensation of the dynamic bolster ... but not this inconsistency.
Because of the frustration & fear of damaging a compressor - I just leave Dynamic seat system shut off.
I did some research and other Benz models - the bladder could be accessed from the seat back panel. DYI seam welding was an option.
I took the back of the seat off of the 2011 E Class - and there is no way I can see of getting close to the bladder.
Does any one have experience in repairing dynamic seat bladder leaks?

When cornering the bladder will expand and then deflate back to the set you determined. Are you talking about that or the fact that you cannot set it at all and it will just deflate? Changing a leaking bladder is quite the ordeal. You may find some information on the W211 section.

When I had trouble with DS on my W211, I lucked out and found crashed car on JY, where I removed whole system.
Don't remember how I removed the bladders, but took me few minutes only, so maybe I removed the skin and pulled them.
I still have the spare parts even I sold the car and here it the picture of removed bladders.

It is a leak in the left hand driver’s bolster bladder.
From research I had done on older series - the W211 was much easier getting to from the back of the seat.
I think it would be impossible in the W212 without taking seat padding off ... which I would have no idea how to do.

Thanks so much for the instructions and diagrams.
I would normally never attempt such a project. I took the seat back cover off one time ... and the inside of the seat looks like it was built by NASA. I just closed it up.
It looks as though there is no special tools required. So to get the seat back side bolster bladder out I would:
1) remove head rest
2) remove seat-back lining
3) remove side bag unit
The DIY guys then use irons and parchment paper to weld the bladder leak.
Or should I just buy a new bladder? Since I don’t want the leak to come back.
How many shop hours to re & re these items - for a trained mechanic?

Dynamic seat bolster
Three years ago when I bought my E550 the dealer replaced the whole seat back cover before delivery to take care of a failed bladder.

No I have just shut the dynamic bolster off ...
Have not attempted to not hired any one to take the seat apart as prescribed.
it is quite a sight to see when you take the back cover off...

Reviving this... the dynamic bolsters aren't holding pressure on my E550. I've seen some W211 repairs which appear easier to remove the bag out the back of the seat (with cover removed). I don't think its that easy on the W212. The whole seat covering and padding needs to come off, seems like.
What is the correct P/N for the dynamic bolster air bags? Searching in EPC, isn't really clear to me... I think its part of the assembly: A 000 910 80 00
Am I correct?

Correct for your VIN driver side is 0009108000, see attachments for repair/replacement.
