I was trying to replace camshaft adjuster on my m276 E350 2012, i get everything removed and when i was trying to remove the chain tensioner right side, small 10 mm socket fall down between the chain inside the engine and i tried to look for it and i could not found it. Could you tell me how bad is that ...i was thinking to changethe oil but i don't know if the socket got there or not.any suggestions to find that socket. thank you

chain cover
If you are unable to fish your socket from where it got in... then pop the timing chain cover on the engine front... consider evaluating chains and gears for wear while down in there.
