My manual does NOT state not to use microfiber towels on the MB-Tex. I have used them for over 11 years with no problems. They are not cheap, but also not expensive either. OM says to use a lint-free towel or a cloth moistened in mild detergent.
I tried the search function and could not find anything saying not to use MF towels on MB-Tex or any other part of car.
However, as I noted above, I do not really clean my vinyl and plastics as they never get dirty. I just used Vinlyex as a protectant.
The manual
The manual does state however to use MF cloth on practically everything else on the interior, I use MF to apply protectant, monthly to the seats in both cars, for eight and nine years respectively, but I'm using very light pressure and not scrubbing anything.
