Updating W212 Navigation

Updating W212 Navigation
Hi all,
I have E300 / 2014 ( Middle East version, same as E350 ), I want to upgrade the map in my car ( which is the 2014 version).
I have visited the car dealership in my country ( OMAN ), but it was too costly for me since it was around 1200$ for upgrading only.
Is there a way to update the map by myself, either by purchasing the map (CD and pin code) online or downloading the map and install it in my car? or even suggesting some website that specializes in such a thing
Thank you.

SD-Card...
like yourself, I have a MY'14 ... from what I've seen these updates are only available and loaded through a SD-CARD... not a CD/DVD. There are numerous related threads around here .
$1200 charge sounds about right... for a 20mn job.

Most US owners use Google maps on their androids for better updates.
My 2014 Navi has no freeways build in 2009 on it, so if you get MB 2021 update, it will not show roads and streets build after about 2015..
Google maps on other hand will find street number, where the house is not build yet.

Hi,
I wrote CD/DVD because I have the original Navigation CD/DVD for my car (as I said, too old ), which came from the dealership the day I bought the car.
Can you please share some useful threads?

I use my phone with Android Auto so its on the car's screen. safe *AND* accurate. but this option is only available on 2016 W212's which have a new model COMAND system, and requires both a dealer flashware upgrade *and* a back door activator to enable. same thing works with Apple CarPlay for those of you with iThings.

Google maps and other cell based systems are great until you're rural with zero coverage. I've got CoPilot on my phone as a last resort. It updates often enough to be more current than a typical car nav system) and it has pretty much all of North America on it. I don't think Mexico is included.
But on a more relevant, car navigation related note: I took a gamble and after much angst pulled the trigger on downloading the map and activation code for $99 from www.navi-expert.com (a Russian site) and hoped for the best. The best happened: North America downloaded to my computer in a couple of hours and the activation code matched what I spent $75 for earlier in this thread (Education isn't free, ya know). Unzipped the 18GB file into roughly 19 GB, followed the emailed, nicely detailed set of instructions and dropped the relevant files onto a clean USB2 thumb drive formatted to FAT32, plugged it in to the USB port in the center console, and 80 minutes later had NTG 4.5 V20 (2020) loaded in the COMAND.
Long story short: $99 plus a paypal fee ($114.99 total) updated me from 2013 to 2020 without a hitch. Evgeny sold me what I intended to buy and was very clear on how to use what he sold me.

Edit: and $115...

I used this site https://mbnavupdate.com/product/mercedes-benz-c-class/?v=e4b09f3f8402 ( thanks to CaliBenzDriver )
I got the map data files on my email immediately, downloaded them on flash Drive ( 32GB ), and then updated the navigation on my car in 30 minutes.
( I notice that the only available update for my car was 2018/2019 only )

Not that this is the answer you're looking for Kaj, but Copilot shows the road you're asking about. It's a pretty up-to-date offline map of North America on my phone. Takes up 2.6GB of space but it needs nothing from the outside world except a GPS signal.
I just checked: Westside Parkway, Bakersfield California does come up as a viable destination on my updated nav screen.
