2014 E300 Fan / Coolant Temp issue
Hi guys, long time lurker first time poster.
I've a query I’m wonder may someone assist with?
I’m driving a 2014 E300 AMG S, the other day I noticed the radiator fan is running on high straight away on start up. I drove for a few mins then returned the car home as fan continued to run which worried me.
I left it for a day and started it again this time fan was running on high again with a check engine light displayed. Few seconds later a red warning light for coolant temperature was displayed (showing +120c) immediately on start up. Coolant has just been topped up 2 weeks ago and upon inspection levels were still okay. I’m assuming some temperature sensor is failing and showing a high temp and automatically engaging the fan on start up. Car is going for a diagnostics today just wondering anyone have similar experiences?
