I have been getting this error since a while now ‘Active Hood Malfunction’ but can’t seem to find much information about it online specifically for the codes i’m getting.
Does anyone has any information regarding this?. Also where is this part even located?. I’ve seen a video of it on youtube but his part is located right nearby to the hood but it’s not there in my car. So has to be somewhere else!
I read about pyrotechnic hoods before, but they were never sold on American market, so only few European members on this forum might have real experience with them.

Unfortunately, MBUSA STAR finder does not contain r12/49 & 50 as suggested you will need to seek the assistance of a local independent or dealer. You can search R12/49 or 50 pulling info on other models but I do not think this info will help much, your call.
On US models, there's a black plastic cap nestled in the hinge [hood]... when removed (pull up) it reveals an cavity. I would expect, models with active hood to have the pryro down in there.
