Vibration when adaptive braking is engaged
Here is the scenario:
Adaptive cruise engaged, I'm at a stop light behind a vehicle, however ECO S/S is off and the vehicle is running, but the brakes are hold by Distronic Plus (this is the easiest way to reproduce the issue).
Engine and transmission mounts are changed at 85k miles, Vehicle is currently at 96k miles.
Dropped off the Vehicle for another service and found there is an engine oil leak at the cylinder heads.
1. Is there a recall or bulletin for this issue?
2. Will that part be touched during a 100k service (done recently at 95k miles)?

Is what they replied when is asked your question.
How screwed am I? How much does an Indy mechanic charges? Can it be fixed outside MB?
Are there any recalls on this?
As far as the brakes, do you feel a vibration when manually holding them (w/o distronic)?
And oil hadn't seeped into the harness, MB replied.
None of the Indy guys want to give me a quote without a separate diagnostics fee (on top of the actual work cost).

It could be your ABS electric pump doing some yoga exercise to pressurize the lineset for adaptive brake "Hold"... does you car feature a vacuum pump ? How long ago were your brakes last worked on?
Get your brakes scanned for safety concerns!
