Blind assist

Hi, Have a 2011 E 350. The blind assist seems to have stop making the beep(s), when an approaching car is in one of the adjacent lanes.
How do I turn on (up) the volume, other than that the triangle turns from orange to red?
Thanks

1.Check cluster menu to make sure it is turned on
2.check codes.

2014 E550-sold 😩
It only beeps when you are encroaching into that other lane with a car there. But, you know that

Mine beeps when I have car on the side and I turn the steering wheel this direction.
Blinker has no bearing or at least I did not notice it.

mine will beep when the blinker is on, often falsely in a dual lane left turn. the steering wheel vibrates if it thinks I'm leaving my lane.

Mine only beeps if I have someone in my blind spot (red triangle) and I start heading in that direction. If I drift in a lane, wheel vibrates but if I put the signal on, it stops vibrating.

Wheel vibration stops because the car knows you are crossing the lane marker on purpose when the blinker is ON. But blind spot giving warning without blinker is news to me. Wonder if it is the collision warning system doing it, not the blind spot monitor? Some cars have side collision warning systems too...

My W212 has passive collision assist as well.
When the car detects collision course and calculate too weak braking -it will kick brakes harder.
The crucial is having your foot on the brakes. Suppose active collision assist was also available on W212, but MB shies with those options (I guess for liability reasons) when Tesla swaps them on all cars.
