If i remove the plastic cap off the center console where the lighter is supposed to be, can it be used? I have a 2011 E550

12V socket...

yes, once you remove the cap this should reveal a power socket.

Some plugins can blow up the socket fuse by shorting out the center pin to GND.

Can you snap an iPhone picture of the socket internal to confirm the 50¢ socket is included? People use this outlet to power cellphone chargers...12v to 5V converters.

Thanks i was able to pop it off using a plastic pry tool and it was actually a cigarette lighter. Its weird that it doesnt auto pop out when I press but had to use the tool to pry it out,

I was going to say it looks just like my lighters, Probably stuck because it was never used.
