BECKER Map Pilot Support? "Becker Cradle"

Do all Mercedes W212 versions have Becker Map Pilot support?

Not sure what Becker Map Pilot is, but Navigation is an option, most US models have it as they come fairly loaded, but world models are less likely.

There was a post about an android/apple module that referenced this option. I did research and found that the only cars that have the "Becker Cradle" are MBs that did not have navigation standard, and this is like a cartridge you can plug in to get a really basic navigation feature enabled on your standard COMMAND. If your car is US-Spec (and maybe even NA spec), then you should have MB navigation by default. If you have a lower level of COMMAND that does not have that, having the cradle in your glovebox gives you the option to buy their cartridge and implement a much more basic version of Nav.

ah, figures. learn something new every day. US Mercedes really are loaded with option codes, you compare the datacard of even an average equipped MBZ here, vs a European or World car of nominally the same model, and we get a ton of stuff by default, like the hot climate stuff (chiller for the return fuel path) and cold weather stuff (heated windsheld washer tank and nozzles). even as far back as the 80s/90s models. of course, they have interesting options in the world market, like suspension for bad roads (rides on taller springs with longer throw shocks).
