ROADTOP APPLE CAR PLAY W212 NTG 4.5 advice needed
Hi everyone I’ve just installed the Roadtop Apple car play retrofit kit in my 2015 Mercedes e63 it works perfectly with sound on Apple Music etc until I try and use the navigation apps.
Apple maps, google maps and waze all work perfect on the screen but I have no voice guidance 🤦🏻♂️
Apple Music etc all work perfect via Bluetooth yet no voice guidance on any of the maps
I do have the AMI aux port in the central console and when clicking on AUX on the main Mercedes system and using that AMI connection I then do get voice guidance working so it rules out a issue with my phone
The issue I have with using the AMI AUX port is I really don’t want to start taking the central console apart and possibly having to drill a small hole to run the AUX cable from the front to the Centre console just for voice guidance on maps it seems crazy but I need the voice guidance to work so will obviously have to if I can’t find another way
Has anyone else faced this Issue before and maybe found a work around ?
