Rear passenger door won't open

hi all,
I'm struggle to open the rear passenger door.
It was same problem with the majority of the Mercedes.
I was able to remove the door panel and the internal was exposed..

I tried to pull the blue cable but the door still won't open..
I can't remove the metal plate because the glass and window motor is attached....
How can i open the door?
Please help..
I'm so frustrated with this door..

I haven't tried the other cable yet..
After reviewing the attachment, I need to remove the module first then remove the rear door lock.. install the new one and it should work right?
Thanks for sharing...

childs play ?

I don't mean to state the obvious but rear doors can be disabled with child protection.

I can see individual door modules playing tricks but all at once I'd question it twice

I assume you’re having problem with one door, rear passenger door so that should rule out child disabling. There are two cables leading to door lock in your attempt to manually open door try both. Once opened it can be determined if door lock needs replacement.

The problem for me is the door won’t open.
I pull the blue cable, the black cable but the door still won’t budge..
im so frustrated.. tempting to use the old fashion way with the hammer but I may damage something else..

Did you drill out those rivets on the inner panel? The inner panel, lock mechanism, window regulator, and wiring all come out in one piece. Search my threads, I show pics of it as I had some PDR done an the rear door.

Unlock the car, either remote or switch on driver's door panel... neither the exterior handle nor cable with blue housing will release the catch? If that's the case, then grind off the rivet in the upper right corner of the panel and that should release the lock from the panel itself. Pull the panel and associated bits... now you can get in there and have a better look at whats happening.

Unfortunately to release the door handle and then the lock, you need access from the inner door edge, which is obstructed as the door is closed.
