2014 E350 Broken Hose

I owned a 2014 E350. Recently, I opened the engine hood and found a broken hose at the driver side as in the picture. Does anyone know the part number of the specification of this hose? How difficult is it to replace it or can I use some hose fit to connect two ends? Any advise or suggestion would be appreciated.

it looks like a very standard 1Ft section of rubber vaccum hose...

HOW did all the abrasion happened in that corner, it's weird as there is no moving parts right there...

This place is a joke.
4 legged rats....they can do much more damage than the 2 legged kind.

I found lots of leafs and sticks covering this location which may cause those abrasions. Not sure how those leafs and sticks got into the engine hood. Does anyone know how to fix this broken hose?

Well, doesn't appear that the hose is under pressure, and I assume you're not getting any codes. So, if it were me, I would measure its length, examine how it conencts at both ends, and replace it.

This is not abrasion. I see clear marks of rodent teeth marks. This could be vent pipe, but still you don't want it left cut.

yeah, thats wood rat damage, i've had to fix such things many times. god save you if they chomp on your wiring harness. the sticks and leaves were the start of them building a nest. found this one under my wife's old 1994 E320 wagon when we came home from a 3 week road trip...

I now keep a couple packets of this stuff under the hood of each of our vehicles, and replace it every couple months.

Leafs and sticks caused the abrasion to a rubber hose? You’ve got to be kidding. That sucker has been chewed all to hell.
