Hadnt driven car in few days, Its down to 35 degrees out. I went to move car and after starting it wouldnt shift into d or R. I rocked car forward and back by hand re started and it shifts fine. What could cause it to not shift into gear? I had foot on brake like normal. Now it seems fine. Could it be a weak battery or??? thanks in advance for any help!!

A weak battery is a very good guess. Check the voltage of the battery, cold really does kill them. I just had my three year old car not start and all the lights in the car just flashed rapidly. Battery was shot.

+1 on the battery , I know from my experience with the old friggin' cars a weak battery could cause many weird issues you would not guess
