E220 D morning startup engine noise only for 3 seconds Any Ideas
My Mercedes eclass 2015 euro 6 engine developed this sound / noise only come in morning upon startup. Few friends suggest it chain noise . Do i need to change the chain now.?? Milage is 190k.

Start with chain tensioner.
I could never get to bottom of that, but forum reads indicate that European diesels have weaker timing chains than US versions.
Confirm what engine you have. I think it is OM651, but good to make it clear.
