Vent Line - Part unavailable

I have a broken vent line and the part is not available anywhere. I called a few dealerships around me and they said the part does not exist in the US and even Germany and that it is on backorder. I checked other sites that sell MB parts and it is discontinued and out of stock everywhere I checked. I'm thinking about trying my luck at a junk/salvage yard. Originally I thought I can just buy a regular hose and replace it but my two issues are, It's a 3 way part, and there is something inside the hose (a valve maybe?). Does anyone know about this part, like what is in it and what it does? Also if anyone is in southern California and has junk yard recommendations, let me know

Part number: A2782030417 - Vent line coming from coolant tank.

Thanks

I went to ACE Hardware and bought vinyl tubing to replace failed pneumatic lines in my W221 seats. Worked great.

Moral of the story; it's just tubing. Have fun.

That would be great if I could do that but I'm just worried about the object in the hose. It's there for a reason, I'm sure it has some importance.

I'll try this website too. Haven't seen this one yet. I have tried buying from different MB parts websites just like this. They say in stock until I order, then I get an email saying it is unavailable and the order has been canceled.

I'll update as soon as I find out about this one. Thanks for the link.

Tony is a one-man shop at mboemparts.com. If you can add it to your cart, he'll get it to you. I've emailed and spoken to him personally. He'll take care of you.

a minor bit of detective work suggests that mboemparts.com is in fact run out of Mercedes of Naperville, IL.

The part was out of stock.

I ended up going to an auto parts store, bought some hoses, and decided I can salvage some of the original hose parts too. I was able to use the original hose that has a one way valve in it. That and a few hose clamps everything seems to be running ok for now.

I had the same problem on my S63 which has the same exact line as your model. Here's what I did. I went to a truck hydraulics shop in NYC they remade the hose for me. If fits perfect on my car and it's better than the plastic nonsense from the manufacture.
