M276.9 lower oil pan leak
Hello
Recently replaced the sealant for the left front cover on the cylinder head.
Cleaned some of the residual oil and discovered oil collected on the lower oil pan.
Didn't see much if any oil on the sides of the upper pan, so, I'm thinking that the leak is at the lower pan. It seems like the oil was collecting on all 6 screws.
There's not much on the forum about the lower pan leaking.
Seems like an easy job. No gasket only the Loctite 5970 (003989982010). Reuse the screws and torque to 14 nm
This is the lower pan: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ml#post7653576
Has anyone completed this job? Thanks in advance.

best way to identify source of a oil leak is to clean things up, drop some fluorescent oil dye in the filler hole, drive a bit, park in the dark, and inspect things with a UV flashlight. if you don't see any leak, drive some more, look again. you can get the dye at any decent auto parts store. UV LED flashlights are quite inexpensive now.
