Scan tool problems
Scan tool problems
hi everyone , have bought 2 scan tools to service my w212 e250 cdi 2010, now the problem l have is l need to code in injectors and l thought the foxwell nt510 elite would do that function, but it doesn't, l then bought a autel mk906bt which says it does and that does not either , can anyone recommend a scan tool that does it on this particular model any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My brother that’s a lot of money on scanners omg. I think they say you need a xentry to be able to code parts, but even then, I think people are going to tell you go to the stealership.

even with an xentry system, afaik, you can't re-code without a dealer account, as all that data is stored in Mercedes corporate database, and the "flashware" (firmware) updates are fetched from Mercedes and registered with the car's VIN.
This is more of a part ID than an actual coding process. The ECU just wants the injector types. Not sure what software you need for that, but I am certain it's been done before and the info is in a forum somewhere. The car will probably run and tune itself fine with the old injector parameters.

I forgot to add. I have the Autel MS906BT.
However I never gone into injector stuff and my engine is gasoline.
I seen my injectors coding numbers/alphabetic, but never mess with it.
Also to note, one won't know the scan tool capability untill we test it on the actual car. Its just to many model/engine variations and Autel themselves do not document too well.
The Autel menu structure is not a complete copy of the Xentry ( mine is a pass-thru version ), sometimes I get confused when comparing Autel to Xentry too
One example : ABS bleed.
It is not in my Autel hot function, but I done its activation using different menu...which I think it can be used for ABS bleeding.
So try to go into the menu slowly, what we look for may be called/named different in Autel.
Good luck...
