open circuit on shock solenoid

My 2010 E550 Sedan is stuck in Sport mode (suspension only, sport/comfort trans shift mode works fine), and the scanner says the right rear shock solenoid has an open circuit. It did this on the way home from a window regulator replacement, never before. I unplugged the wire from the shock and plugged it back in (did not clean it, didn't have anything at the time) and reconnected and it shows the same error. Does anyone have experience in tracing an open circuit from the wiring end, what the impedance readings should be? Where that line terminates in the front compartment somewhere? Or if I can put the ohmmeter on the shock solenoid and get a reading?

Thank you!

Update:
I did a continuity test on the inbound wire from the shock connection forward, I got readings rather than a big zero. So, I think the shock is bad since the computer is complaining of a an open circuit. A bit of trivia, I am a software engineer by trade but have 2 months before my next gig starts so I said what the hay, let's drive people around for a while and see what happens. Enter Uber, 10 rides in so far with people saying ooo wow what a nice uber :-). 30% of my income from this goes to fuel at 4.92 a gallon - the cheapest in the city. Anyway since it is stuck in sport mode, two people have said "dang this thing rides rough". They're right. Not only is it in sport mode, it has contintental extreme contacts which handle amazingly, but are noisy and a rougher ride on Las Vegas streets. The thing is, the Arnott replacement for this car shorts that connection and does not respond to it but is instead some sort of balanced gas shock. Does anyone have experience with this? Is the dealer the only place to get a real ADS shock for the rear of a RWD W212 E550? Or is the Arnott replacement all that with a bag of chips?
