Subwoofer box?

I've seen a few Post with sub boxes made for w212. Usually corner boxes by the tail light.
my 2010 doesn't have the backseat that folds down so was thinking of building a box in the area behind backseat for a 12" sub.

i searched around but couldn't find any pictures of custom boxes for this area. Has anyone put a sub box here?

I was thinking of using mdf at same angle as seat vertical, then mdf on floor until the taper down in floor, then use fiberglass for the transition and sides.

Mdf top at the height of the black bar with wiresThen have a flush front face in mdf, the box would end around the little hooks in the floor watching the arm for the trunk

Anyone have any comments on if this sounds like an ok build or things to watch for?

I have hk system, was gonna tap the 2 wires that plug into factory sub in the rear deck. I have the trunk battery so wiring should be relatively smooth.

I don't have a thread yet. I haven't finished it yet either. I actually just started a new slot port enclosure because I didn't like the aero port box I was building. I should have everything installed soon. I'll get pics and stuff up.

I'm not making anything special. Here's the enclosure I threw together on subbox and am building now

I should add: I don't have the back seat folder either, which really sucks. But I think I'll be ok with this design as it has a ton of port area.

Woah I'm going to have to try that software to design part of the box. Looks like you're going with a 15?
I'm probably putting in an alpine s 12 and one of their amps.
I've made several sub boxes in other cars, had not done fiberglass before so I'm a bit hesitant to start learning with the Benz.

Fiberglass would be a fun project. This is the only 212 trunk build I found on this forum that is similar to what you described

I like the design of that one, similar to what I was thinking, what are your thoughts on how they pointed the sub upwards?

I was planning to have the face of my sub facing the rear of the car.

I think I'm going to try a technique I saw on YouTube, they used a bunch of mdf pieces and hot glue to make 90% of the box and fiber glass to seal the rest. I just got a big box from Amazon so going to use the cardboard to start tracing stuff this weekend
