I'm preparing to change the transmission fluid & filter on my 2012 E350 4Matic. In order to get the most fluid out, I plan to drain the torque converter. Should I also drain the transfer case as well?
Will it refill automatically within the internal flow?

No need to drain transfer case. The only time you do that if you repair or open transfer case only.
