Odd AC issues
My 2011 E350 wagon has been having some odd AC issues. If I start the car and the AC was not already engaged from last run, I have to turn on the AC and shut the car off then restart to get any cold air. Sometimes if i start the car and the AC is already on from last ride, I need to turn the "zone button" on and off to get cold air.
These issues and results are intermittent and random, so hard to trouble shoot because I am never prepared to start troubleshooting when it happens. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue before, AC relay?

Start with basic troubleshooting.
Read all the AC-related sensors first thing in the morning before engine start.
All temp sensors should show the same with 2-3 degrees error margin.
That will also tell you static refrigerant charge.
Than observer refrigerant pressure when you start AC.
