E250 4matic jolt after stoping

Evening everyone.
Only had my used 2014 e250 bluetec for about a week now. Got it with 76k miles. Carfax and previous owner stated dealer maintained (good or bad). Anyhow I have noticed that when I come to a complete stop with eco (start/stop) disabled that after about 3-4sec after stoping it slightly jerks fwd (jolts/lunge slightly). Not overly dramatic but noticeable. When moving/driving shifts fine from what I can tell. I have driven a manual 2014 3500 cummins for the last 8 years and auto F250/F350s for the 14 years prior to that as my daily drivers so my experience with a automatic car is lacking.

The indication on the dash shows it shifts to D1 when I stop. When I start again seems to take off in D2 since I leave it in economy and havnt tried it in sport mode yet. Trrying a tank full on economy to see what mileage I can get then may try sport mode for a tank.

Not sure if this is normal or has to do with needing a fluid/filter change or solenoids replaced or ....

Appreciate any input

Action call ...

Find some time to read around a bit... there's a common story about the front transfer case chewing ball bearings.

I won't say much about AWD 4M because I've preferred the basic RWD. I can say that upgrading your transfer cases drain plugs to magnetic will help keep metal shavings out of the 1Qt. oil.

Lucky you are proactive because these issues tend to progress gently.

Yeah would have preferred RWD myself as well unfortunately availability in my area was limited. Had to travel 4 hrs to pick this one up.

I will look into doing the drain plug and changing the oil. Thanks for the info.
