I am no longer able to adjust the driver seat or use the memory buttons using the controls on the driver's door panel. The last thing that happened was a cleaner was sprayed on the door panel. The window and mirror controls still work.
Any help on the following:
- What is the correct fuse to check? I found reference to fuses 45 and 62 located in the fuse panel in the trunk
- Do I have to take the door panel to access the control wiring?
- Is there a way of testing the control without taking the door panel off?
pretty good progress: you've got this problem cornered already👍
Now pop that door trim panel
Extract the buttons module
Either clean with isopropyl alcohol or replace new
> Bonus:
> If you don't see evidence of liquid intrusion, this problem of "bad communication" may very well be caused by the harness connector pins on the circuit side.
> While in there, take a close look at your door control module... it could benefit from some attention to resolder known loose pins.
> 3 more doors to look at...

Thoughts on spraying with contact cleaner prior to taking door panel off?
I do not want to harm anything.
Go ahead! This is just not my style of fixing, I like to look at evidence.
You could get lucky ?
Not sure how all the fancy plastic and foam will react to carcinogen chems.
Other people have reported "connections just being loose" (no cleaner was involved in failure) - Nothing to clean really then, just lack of basic soldering.

Me too. I am not a "parts replacer". I first have to understand the theory, capture what is happening, and then implement a solution.
you are in the right place then! 👍

These cars are well built to get fixed - Enjoy your ownership .

Most likely the wiring plug has become shorted or lost contact, this has happened in a couple of my cars over the years, wiggling the plug brought it back immediately. I cleaned it and put it back in all cases
It started working after disconnecting and reconnecting the the wiring connector from the control. It was either a loose connection or has a built in reset.
