Future Troubleshooting preparation

I just realized I been messing with my car for 19 days now. Started 30th June 2022.

Intend to do A-job, later I expand to B-job and so on and so on , now its at J-job probably
So while my ECM wiring is still in tear down mode, I maximize the opportunity.

I plan to make 2 connectors in parallel with :
01. High Pressure Fuel Pump , its quantity valve. 2 pins.
02. Crankshaft speed sensor. 3 pins.

These two devices, if I want to measure/probe them, I have to do it by back-probing at the ECU 96 pin connector.

I have bought the spare connectors for these two devices, but its original one and must be connected at the device itself.

HP-Fuel Pump, no way to access the connector at the HP fuel pump and do a pull

==========

The crankshaft sensor is a 100% disaster.

Now knowing female and male terminals insertion life cycle being GOOD, is limited to 20 if non silver coating and 50 if silver coated,
I want to reduce the frequency of engine computer connector removal cycle.

I managed to do High Pressure Fuel Pump only, as I do not have extra Deustch Connector, only got 1 of 2 pin type.

De-skinning the jacket and the solder the extra parallel cable

With this new extra parallel connector, I can scope the HP Fuel Pump with ease.... Yipee !!!!

Next.... the Crankshaft sensor.... I shall update.

crank sensor

I guess they really don't want quick replacement of the crankshaft sensor.

heat shield fastened by 4 screws

What's the WIS procedure like... remove engine first?

The WIS would probably reccomend (like in other models using M276) to remove engine bay heat shield ( intermediate bulkhead/firewall) first.......euugghhhh another nightmare
