Replacing Rusted 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 Rear Subframe
Hello everyone, as of late my 2013 MB E350 has had a rusted rear subframe -- similar to the experience of many others I have read (C class as well). The MB dealer would not cover this even under my extended warranty (although they had a recall on this issue in Canada). This is not safe and I would like to replace it. The Mercedes dealers have been out of stock on this part and it has been on back order for some time, it is not clear when they will have it in stock. Due to this back order I would like to replace mine using an aftermarket rear subframe. I was wondering, has anyone replaced theirs using an aftermarket part or know of anyone who has? I appreciate your the help and comments.

I suggest you dont use aftermarket one.
The accuracy of welding this and that on it for other components to be installed on it and bending the subframe is not a simple one.

My idea would be to remove the frame, have it sand-blasted clean, refinished, then reassemble.
I can't imagine it is rusted through.
