Infotainment glitches
My whole infotainment system is acting up, the screen reboots in less than a minute. Buttons are unresponsive as well as the rear camera and the centre console dial. Is this software or hardware issue? No other problems with the car, no changes or other repairs done recently

The solderless circuit in your center dial module may have developed poor connection with head unit....
Are you able to retrieve active faults codes? This will quickly minimize guess work. NTG may not come up long enough to post status.... let's see!

I think what you describe is a boot-loop caused by faulty hardware. An external condition is preventing the software stack from initializing.

finally I removed the cds and that seems to have resolved the issue, with the system now working. I did not dare to put the CDs back in 😉

CD jam
unfortunately I don’t have access to Mercedes’ software to pull codes.
I tried....
resetting the unit by pressing the on button to force a reboot,
and I turned off the Bluetooth
and tried pulling fuses for 10min
and then also disconnecting the battery for 10min.
Nothing worked.

I would have never guessed that
Buy yourself a scanner, it pays for itself quickly.
