Looking at 2014 E250 4Matic
Hey all!
A friend has offered me a great deal on his 2014 E250 4Matic. Was purchased as a CPO car, currently has 115k on it. Had the MD diesel fix performed in 2021, I believe (this means I'd have another 3-ish years of emissions warranty, right?).
Any particular things I should look at on this car prior to purchase? Has new tires and brakes, from what I've read, the 2.1 BluTec motor is robust and should last for a long time. Read a thread about rear subframe rust, which I'll check on the car when I take it for a day. From a quick lookover in the parking lot, the car looks like it's in great shape.
Anything else?
Thanks for any help!
Ben

I like mine so far, only had it since end of June. Really liking the fuel mileage. Wish i could of gotten a rear wheel drive one but oh well.
Multitude of things to worry about with any of these MBs so ....
Make sure it shifts good and doesnt rattle on startup excessively. Think about when shocks were replaced if ever along with both batteries.
Enjoy. I like driving mine on my 110 mile total commute each day.

Extended warranty is only icing on the cake.
Mine has no sign of rust, but spend its life in southern states.
At this age some rubber parts are in need of replacement. Right now doing sway bar links.
