2011 MB E-350 overheating issue
What’s up guys just wanted to get some opinions I have a 2011 E-350 was driving the other day doing 80mph with the ac on and took a look at the temp gauge was right under the red mark. Hooked up my Autel had no overheating codes nothing dinged my car to tell me it was about to overheat. I pulled over and blasted the heat, and the needle instantly dropped back down to normal. I’m thinking my thermostat got stuck closed. Then took her for a drive again today and I’ve been driving with the heat on decided to turn it off to see if the car would start to overheat and it didn’t so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with intermediate sticking thermostats. Or if I should be looking elsewhere. Use my autel to command the cooling fan to come on and it came on every single time. And the top radiator hose was a little hotter than the bottom one. Thanks for any information insight.

Use your Autel log feature and compare MB's instrument cluster coolant temp reading vs Autel data which is from engine computer.
The MB's instrument cluster coolant temp reading is kinda of a liar, so that you know. But near touching red 120C should not happen.
