I changed the oil in my 2011 W212 and reset the service info. When I did that I noticed a workshop code. I have not seen workshop codes before .
The code is B3, then workshop code 3609. I don't understand the workshop codes and can't seem to find any listing for
them or how do I find the issue. I'm not getting any OBDII errors.
Code generates vehicle-specific service sheet in MB WIS/MSS for tech. Cross reference services to attached sheet, mileage/time accrued.
Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement
Oil Filter Replacement
Cabin Dust/Combination Filter Replacement
Brake Fluid Exchange
All Fluid Level Checks & Corrections Are Dependent On Factory-Recommended Service Intervals For Your Vehicle's Year & Model.
Tire Inflation Check & Correction
Brake Component Inspection
Reset Maintenance Counter
Thank you for your help and the explanation. If I understand correctly you have listed the items that code refers to.
I have the WIS/MSS software so I guess somewhere in that software I can find the workshop code numbers and references. guess I will have to go hunting for it.
The service sheet in the PDF you sent does not reference the list of items needed, just a mileage and or time. when to do service. Or, maybe I'm confused (which certianly is a possibility).
Thank you again!
Don't make the services difficult to understand. From 2006 and up all Mercedes vehicles require either a "B" or "A" every year or 10k miles. The "A" service is pretty much an oil change and service reminder reset along with vehicle inspection. The "B" service is the same as the "A" but add cabin air filter replacement and brake fluid service/flush. Every 50k miles along with whatever service is due at the time, you will need spark plugs and engine air filter replacement. Transmission service for the 722.9 is due every 50k miles or 70k miles for the 7g+. Mercedes Benz does not have any specific service for differentials but I would do them every 50k miles. I forgot to add clean the front sunroof drains every "B" service.
