Harmon Kardon Amplifier Compatibility

Does anyone know if a 2016 HK amplifier would fit on a 2014? Mine keeps destroying speakers even after putting new caps in it. I'm hoping the 2016s had this issue fixed. My car is a 2014 e550 sedan.

2016 does NOT have a separate subwoofer amplifier, while earlier years did, do not know which year was the crossover.

also, 2016 has COMAND NTG 5.1, while up to 2015 was NTG 5.0 or something. dunno if this affects amp compatability or not.

konig's PN's by VIN will answer this.

I got my VIN to him. I'm hoping that I have two amps, but I've only seen one in the trunk on the driver's side. If I have a second one then it will likely be solved by replacing those caps. Anyone know where the second amp would be located?
