Square door panel clip?
Hello everyone,
I had to go into my passenger side door to replace the seat control switch, as it was broken in my new-to-me 2014 E350 wagon. Easy enough, but I found that some monkey had been in there before for something - several of the orange clips were missing/broken, and the weird square clip on the back edge where you are supposed to pull the center out and put it back in rotated 90 degrees was missing the center and totally chewed up. I had to destroy it completely to get the panel off. I found the orange clips online (part # 000-991-86-98) with no problem, but I have been unable to locate that square clip in the parts diagrams. Anyone know what it is called or have the part number so I can order one? I'll go to the dealer if I must, but that is a bit of a hike from where I live.

Here is the part number: 000-991-79-40. Amazon has it available.
I had to replace mine too. After take the panel on and off a few times it ended up getting stuck so I had to break it off like you. What a dumb, over-engineered design.
