Inside rattling noise driver side
On the driver side near the A-pillar, there's a rattling noise that would be heard when going between ~20 & 40 mph.
The noise is more obvious early in the day, when we start driving.
After a long drive the noise would either go away, or not be as loud.
The closest I can describe the noise, is if you stick your finger to a mini hand-held fan's spinning soft plastic blades.
The car didn't make the noise when I took the car to my mechanic.
I'm attaching the video clip here; the noise can be heard if you turn the volume up.
If someone has the same problem w/ their car, PLEASE let me know what it is, as this noise is driving me insane.
What I've tried:
-Removed all items from all storage space
-Pressed hand against everywhere on driver side, in case it was a lose panel or part
-Closed vents, or turned off A/C & fan, in case it was a leaf or foreign object stuck in the air vent

noisy A-pilar fan
There is a fanned temperature sensor located near the ignition button/keyhole that may cause nouse when dirty.
The fact you stopped the HVAC rules out the usual squeaky cabin fan.
Is there a way you can convert your file sample in a a standard mp3/mp4 firmat?
Go ahead and buy yourself an ODBII scanner shipped with prime ✌️

I converted the .mov to .mp4, but when tried uploading it to the thread, I get an error saying:
"AlertYour file "IMG_7807.mp4" could not be uploaded. It is not an accepted file type."

light vibrations rattle...
I can definitely hear something light vibrating inside. I can also hear the HVAC wind as well ie. blower fan was on !✌️
Is this a sport trim W212 with low profile wheels?
Is there anything loose inside the duct work?

It's the sports trim w/ AMG wheels & supposedly lower & stiffer suspension.
All are factory / stock though, and this annoying noise just recently surfaced.
Before then everything was wonderful.
Not sure what ductwork you were referring to...like in air vent?
I may have had the fan on when I taped this, but I've definitely turned it off before, and noise persisted.

No question, I do believe you!
Once we know... it will be obvious but until then we need to narrow things down.
As you might have imagined, there are not a lot of loose MB parts - This one sounds like it's flying in the wind more so than a road rattle over small bumps.

someone else may have delt with the very same problem.... you"ll be impressed what a dedicated group can workout!
My last guess is SUNVISOR: there are known to be temperamental and often don't spring closed.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it wasn't the sunvisor either. (though the visor on driver side of my other car did become loose, so not far fetched)
One thing I observed so far: sometime in November, the noise completely went away.
Then it returned briefly right after I had my tires replaced in December, but then went away the next day.
So perhaps it's a loose part somewhere, and the cold weather & low temperature somehow "shrank" the parts and made them tighter?
Would be intereting to see if the noise returns when the weather gets warmer.
