Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212)
Finding a technician for installing power folding mirrors

Does anyone know where can I find a technician who can install power folding mirrors for W212 E-class 2011 in LA?

I have already visited the Santa Monica and Calabasas branches of the Benz Center, but
they refused to do the installation.

Mercedes Dealers are (arguably) trained and certified to work on your car. If two dealers tell you they will not do the work, I would take the hint...

I followed these instructions (having more or less identical diagnostic/dongle equipment) and they worked on my 2013 E350. Note that "early" US W212 door controllers may not handle power folding mirrors. I'm not certain as to the cutoff date of "early".

Yes, I'm guessing 2011 is too early for the folding mirrors to be available.

Not to mention that by the time one buys all the parts (including door controls) and wiring, the parts alone will cost at least half (or more) what the car is worth ($9,000 @ 10K miles a year, per NADA).

I can think of 38 other upgrades to a 2011 model more interesting than folding mirrors. But hey...
