If you want a scanner that covers the entire Asian brand family, look into the Topdon AD900BT. Launch scanners seem to be a subset of Topdon -- the software apps are nearly identical.

LAUNCH does have individual scanners for Toyota, Nissan, and Honda (which I imagine would cover Lexus, Acura, and Infinity). There is also the KINGBOLEN K7 scanner that seems to cover all makes and models (including Volvo).

Just so you guys know about LIFETIME FREE UPDATE.........
You will get special older software which will not be able to do latest cars as per their other scanners with PAID annual update fee.

Based on my oldie gen 1 baby launch, on 3rd of Aug 2025, latest MB firmware was V50.36
Today 30 Sept 2025 I saw what Jetta was promised, the V50.45 is available.
Now, what good is V50.45 ? I dont know because V50.45 is too old to be listed in Launch website..... LOL.
Someone must try on 2024 MB cars.
Supposedly .... Elite 2.0 is already having V50.48 which can do newer cars. Now you guys who owns 2.0, test it if you can get V50.48.

Indeed...LOL. Anyhow me will not get newer MB, its not worth it with the complicated electronics and mild 48V or full hybrid bull-shi-et on small engine 2,000cc.
However, I sometime get curious and love to plug in the Lauch into newer MB if there is a chance.

Unfortunately, new cars will get more complicated as time goes, it doesn't go backwards.

Just updated my LAUNCH Creader Elite BENZ and my LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 BBA to version 50.45. The update went easily for my original LAUNCH Creader Elite BENZ (the 1.0), but I actually had to do a factory reset on the BBA. To factory reset, go into Settings and select Recovery. Recovery will erase everything, including saved configurations. After the reset/recovery, the new software loaded effortlessly.

I have the Creader elite and finally started playing with it on my A207.
I could not set the engine start/stop to last setting 😢
But I adjusted the DRL brightness when headlamps are on 👍 looks much nicer now from 5% to 15% (any higher will probably be too blinding).
Then I found this one here
SURELY it can’t be THAT easy to transform the engine power of my car to the E250 spec, right?
has anyone tried this? I was too scared to adjust this! 😅

No errors. I just want to disable start/stop completely or set it to remember the last setting, but such options are not available on the W207 platform (or at least I did not find it)

I see, try updating your system version of the scanner.
Not sure if this was covered. Im seeing 4 of these Launch scanners for MB.
Do they all do the same things, same software? Obviously the two higher priced units have the additional BMW and Audi functions. I also noticed the Android OS are different between the units.
I'm thinking about getting one and I like the "Elite V2.0" just because it has the horizontal screen. AliExpress has it for around $105.
Unless the black one can do more in terms of with Mercedes? I dont have a BMW, VW or Audi.

My questions here are can we use this Launcher scanner to code/ activate the android auto? has anybody using the Launcher to do this option? and can you provide the step by step guide? Thank you

No, Launch doesn't have the capability to add CarPlay or Android Auto. I ran into that issue when I got my 2016 last year. I ended up going with an ebay merchant who sold me the OBDII gadget, but before the installation, I had to get the dealer to do a software update on COMAND. I now have CarPlay and it works flawlessly.
