I replaced my rotors, pads, and brake lines, figured I would give a shot at painting the calipers too.
Rotors were the Zimmerman 344mm from fcp euro and the pagid el cheapo pads. Brake lines were stoptech and weren't much more than the rubber lines. I sacrificed the old lines as plugs on the caliper to keep paint out of that spot.
Hardest parts of the whole job was cleaning the calipers or lifting the car.or getting the Mercedes stickers on.
I used the vht spray primer, gloss black, clear coatFound a sticker on eBay for a few dollars.
Did more coats than I could count of each, light layers. One day for primer then one for paint then had to wait a couple days for the sticker to arrive, then sprayed clear and then figured heat from caliper would do any heat cure needed. Paint seems to be holding ok, it rained a bit and still looks ok.
SInce I was flushing the system anyway I took the calipers and lines out when painting and got good coverage.
I'm not normally into the black on black on black Mercedes but somehow decided on black for the brakes and have a black ornament.
