2011 E350 Valve body pull / solenoid clean
I drive the car like I have a full cup of coffee in the cup holder 95%, occasionally it hits over 65mph. The downshift I notice more often as I am coasting / decelerating uphill(?).
My questions -
has anyone had this issue with the screen cleaning being the resolution?
if no solenoids are replaced, will the transmission need the be re-programmed?
other than pan gasket, filter, fluid and trans fill tool, any other parts or specific tools to recommend?

- Have you scanned the vehicle for error codes?
- When was the last transmission service? 60K?
- Have you checked the mounts: engine and transmission?
- Have you checked the transmission harness/connector? By 2011 (722.9) should have been fixed, but just in case.
- You can always reset the transmission adaptations, in case it is confused by now.
- There is a procedure using the key and the accelerator
- There is a procedure using Xentry
- and, finally the brute force: disconnect all batteries: main and aux, wait a while, and reconnect
- If doing this, check your batteries are properly charged and have "enough life in them", i.e. battery health check.
2 Last transmission service, yes at 60k miles. Car has been doing this since I got it. Intermittent, not often and not harsh so is not too much of a concern
3-5 No, have not looked into any of that.
Thanks for your response, gives me some better options. Everything I searched for came up as dirty screens. I have off work during the holidays and will do more investigating.
