I have a S212 E350 AG with 17inch wheels

Notice the rim at the back is damaged beyond repair.

Wheels fit based on pictures and MB model is difficult since the same front/appearance is made is different configurations.

if they are original, the part number is at the back: part number, width, offset and diameter are important. Then compare to ranges for each on S212.
diameter is obvious from the tires in the picture: 18"
width can be guessed based on the tire width: J7.5 for such tire..

Offset: impossible from this picture. Wrong offset and the the tire will rub inside, or outside

the correct 18" tire size for the E350 is 245/40R18. I don't know what offset or width they use.

The link above may help with the specs with that set

It seems like 18" x J7.5 x ET52

Tires are one size too small and offset is too far in by 4 millimeters, that's 5/16" too far in. Also wheel is a half inch less in width I believe.

I have also thought of buying a lower class wheels for my W212 as well. However, besides off set (probably can be sorted out using spacers ) W212 E Class is heavier than CLA or C Class variants . I know those rims could handle such extra weight that comes from the W212's structure but for a piece of mind I would not do it

In the case of spacers, they must fit perfectly on the hubs; otherwise, you may get undesired vibrations (not easy to track). Vibrations caused by not perfectly fitting wheels, and/or using the incorrect bolts were discussed in another thread in the last year.

Honestly, I wouldn’t buy those wheels. Just get decent aftermarket and buy the MB center cap logo’s off Amazon for $20 and nobody will know the difference. I just bought a set of aftermarket rims a few days ago, $200 per rim, brand new. I have a thread on here about it.

At the end of the day, if you’re using 18 wheels on these cars, then its probably easier to just consider the rims as disposable. Go on cars.com and look up the 212’s for sale. Look for the ones with 18 inch wheels and read the carfax entries on them. Endless tire and wheel repairs almost immediately. If the $850 “AMG” wheel can’t survive a pothole, then why spend the money for the badge? I am about to replace all 4 for the price of one.

funny, in that picture with the damaged rim in the back - looks exactly like a promo video MB did to illustrate why you should only buy their wheels! They ran a car over a speed bump, one with aftermarket and one with MB wheels. Aftermarket lost a piece of the lip just like in that picture. The MB wheel looked like it didn’t even flinch, no damage no nothing. Except I, and willing to bet many others here, would most definitely argue that it probably sounds like you’re driving a helicopter now in that test car, meaning a trip (and expense) to get it fixed, in hopes they actually can get it fixed back to new. Me? After 5 years of trying, have my doubts.. so, instead of $150-$200 for a repair bill that may or not work, I’d rather just spend it on another wheel that was brand new and not have to worry about if it was fixed correctly or not…

when using aftermarket wheels, just be careful they fit tightly, and properly centered on the hubs, and use the correct bolts. Some found vibrations that were associated to other parts of the vehicle until traced back to the wheels.

Once we get new parts, we tend to blame the older parts for the failures, like NEW means perfect, and then circled around frustrated with issues.

If they are MB post the part # stamped on the back (each wheel should be the same).

BOLTS
On my original rim, AMG by Ronald which is Czech-made, the NUT is not the same as what I will need on my BBS CH-R aftermarket wheel.
To un-trained eye, one may miss this BOLT detail, becareful.

The cone or taper shape and angle is different on BBS CH-R which I believe is a common aftermarket wheel bolt taper specification.

My OE Mercedes bolt is like this : kinda rounded taper

My BBS CH-R bolt is like this, 60 degrees taper.

Yeah, Mercedes uses ball head lug screws, most everyone else uses cone head.

edit: also to be noted, Mercedes uses hub centric wheels, *not* bolt centric. so the 'hole' in the middle of the wheel is what centers it, and that has to be precise. many aftermarket wheels aren't very good in this respect.

BBS will give us the 66.5mm MB hub ring adapter when the wheel chosen is for MB as indicated in their catalog.
Superb dimensional accuracy with soft nice taper for "entry" of wheel hub protrusion, it is aluminum ring and a clip
