2014 E350 wipers no longer automatically adjusting
Recently, my wipers are not automatically adjusting based on the volume of rain - i.e. the more rain, the shorter the pause between wipes. Is there some setting that maybe my wife erroneously set such that this would change. Is there a way to determine if the sensor is going bad?

You can try doing a main battery reset by disconnecting the negative for 15 minutes, my '12 and '13 only have auto setting with no adjustment and is based on the windshield sensor. if the reset doesn't work, you will need to go to a dealer or indy with the ability to reprogram the windshield sensor or maybe replace it. Maybe your facelift model has a different wiper switch than my pre-facelifts as DFW suggests?

If at AUTO setting, speed of wiper is decided by the rain sensor.
Simple test, spray a lot of water with garden hose on the sensor viewing port, if system healthy, wiper will speed up.
I use to experiment this for fun.
