Knocking/Rattling Noise from transmission
Noticed this weird noise from the car 2 days ago and decided to record it last night.
When the car is in PARK, the noise stops after a few seconds, when shifting to 'D' it returns.
This car has 7G Tronic+ (A89 - reduced friction code is present in the datacard). 2014 E300 with 3.5L M276.
Transmission fluid changed in 2018 at 23k km (14k miles) and again in 2021 at almost 54k km (33k miles). No unusual behaviour from the transmission, shifting is completely normal and smooth. Scanned for codes with iCarSoft MB v3, didn't get any.
Uploaded a video on YouTube, but since it's less than a minute long, it got uploaded as a 'YouTube Short' which has a stupid looking UI that doesn't suit desktop viewing at all. Either way, there's not much to see, mostly just uploaded it so you can hear the sound. The video starts with the car in gear and my foot on the brake, and I shift to Park around 10 seconds in, and then back to 'D' at the 20 second mark.
