What about the resulting ride, steering feel, etc?

I think engine mounts same for be it C180 or W212 E500/550 and probably same for the W221 S Class as well . Hence less powered cars should be getting away from this problem .

I'm not sure what you're saying, but the mounts between the v8 and 6 have different part numbers which makes sense since they support different weights and power.

The problem of engine mounts going bad after as little as 30k miles happens regardless of engine or output. As long as the price wasn't outrageous I'd be very inclined to give these a try.

Nice! If they're priced similarly to the 550's, I'll be giving them a shot the next time I'm in that area.

I just spend $450 for OE MM for my diesel. They look quite different from those above and watching youtube chanel replacing them on 350, he had the same MM, or at least looking the same.
At 155k miles I don't complain about lasting.
