Pre-Safe schematics?
Anyone have the schematics for the Pre-Safe system? I just can’t seem to fix this on mine, nor can my indi who doesn't have that level of equipment to diagnose. So before going to the dealer, I would love to know more about it. Where are the sensors?
I replaced the driver’s seat belt latch a year ago. It helped for a while, but it’s been back now for the last several months, and really acting up lately. Annoys the crap out of me!
If it helps, my car is bare bones in terms of sensors. No parking assist. No distronic. Not even blind spot monitoring. BUT it does have the upgraded headlights, and the automatic highbeam function works flawlessly (unlike our 2020 GLS that hardly ever works).

What scanner do you have at the moment, a 24/7 yours ?
What DTC are you getting ? and which modules are the one issuing the DTC ?
My car has no Pre-Safe option, which I am so happy about it.
Aside from the possibility of requiring coding by Xentry for the radar sensor which I can't help you, I may be able to help you with the wiring.
First you need to print out your data card so that the options are clear what you have and don't have, otherwise the wiring diagram will drive you mad.

parts lottery
A schematic is next to no help until you need to focuss on a troublesome module.
PreSafe is a great distributed function: half of the car works for PreSafe functions. ESP, ECU, SRS plus one dozen sensors in both front/rear bumpers.
What's perhaps the most helpful is analyzing a list of faults. Front you get an idea of what CAN bus is screwed up, what bumper sensor is soaking, what module has poor wiring.
If you take the time to read around this forum, you'll see the emphasis placed on OBDII scanners.
PreSafe is one of the most complex feature on these chassis. Wishing you luck to get fixed cost effectively.
Most MB modules require coding new units...

Thanks guys, this one is for the dealer. I’m a bit past my time for messaging with something like this. I suspect they’ll be able to spot it pretty quickly with their proprietary gadgetry.
what i was hoping for was some indication of where the sensors are, as I wanted to see if I had one that was excessively dirty. But it sounds like there are just too many to screw with, and it is a but of mystery as to where they are. This one goes into the bucket of life is too short for me (and too damn old)…

Fair choice
The dealer is the best option to fix this issue. At the end of the day it will be a well done repair.
The collection of sensors located in both front/rear bumpers regularly get ruined by rain. The MB connectors are not weather proofed.
Keeping these sensors in good repair prevent battery drain while parked and so does too a CTEK battery float-charger.
